Johanna Benson was born on 17 February 1990. She is a cerebral palsy athlete from Walvis Bay, Namibia. Johanna runs in the T37 category (coordination impairments like hypertonia, ataxia, and athetosis). Johanna came from a sporting family, with her mother being an athlete before her. From a young age, she enjoyed running and her talent was spotted when she attended Kuisebmond Secondary School.
